“The Younger Generation Gets It!”

Ruby Polanco, a high school senior student at the Young Women’s Leadership Academy, a college preparatory public charter school, petitioned the San Antonio Independent School District a year ago to revise the district’s non-discrimination policy to now include sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

The SAISD complied with the precocious teen’s request and the eight  member board of trustees voted unanimously for the change in the district’s Employee and Student Welfare Policy on August 22nd. The school’s original non-discrimination policy which was consistent with other Bexar County school districts barred discrimination on the “basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex …disability in its vocational programs, services or activities”. SAISD is a large school district that covers 103 schools and close to 54,000 students.

I would bet my first born (my pet miniature schnauzer, not my son) that well-funded homosexual rights organizations like Equality Texas or the Human Rights Coalition were behind Ms. Polanco’s petition, directly or indirectly.

Well, one click away on a web search engine and we read a gloating Equality Texas field organizer commenting  “the next step is getting all local school districts on board with this language.” According to the local “gay” newspaper, “SAISD joins school districts in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, El Paso and other cities in adopting sexual orientation and gender identity phrases into its non-discrimination rules.”  San Antonio has come of age and joined the ranks of sophisticated cities in Texas that have been co-opted by the homosexual rights movement.

Mayor Ron Nirenberg  gets it. He comments in the same article that “it comes as no surprise that this ordinance was introduced by a student.” Why? Because the younger generation gets it, he says. Yes, what we get is the young student has become another  poster child for the national homosexual movement and  San Antonio is more than slouching towards Gomorrah to quote the title of Judge Robert Bork’s book chronicling the ascendancy of modern liberalism and the American cultural decline. The city is accelerating forward down the slippery slope! Mr. Nirenberg would fit right in as the Mayor of San Francisco, Nancy Pelosi’s district.

The SAISD Board held a standing room meeting last Monday, September 12th, which was packed with advocacy groups who came to protest, support, and speak out for two seemingly unrelated issues addressing DACA and SOGI. The district adopted the new SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) policy last month and many advocates for the DACA (Deferred Arrivals for Childhood Arrivals) program came to speak and rally in support of DACA, a federal policy by executive order instituted by President Obama in  2012 whereby minors brought into the country by illegal immigrants were protected from deportation. Interestingly the liberal community organizers, Move  San Antonio, SA Rise (San Antonio Rising In Solidarity for Equity), and the San Antonio Alliance of Teachers and Support Personnel, an AFL/CIO affiliate, while their motives were different for coming to the board meeting all lined up behind the new sexual orientation and gender expression policy and were mobilized to support DACA.

Board President, Patti Radle, opened the meeting with the assurance that the new policy (or policy change) was about non-discrimination, to prevent bullying, intending to ensure the respect and dignity for all students. She emphasized that it was not a “bathroom bill”. This writer attended the meeting and observed from the audience during the one hour testimony period, young and old who came to speak their piece, concerned parents, many wearing yellow shirts, and San Antonio residents objecting to the lack of transparency of the Board were respectful of those who spoke out for LGBT rights and DACA.

Actually many of the attendees who had their one minute at the microphone were primarily concerned about the DACA issue, fearful that President Trump and his administration would start deporting “dreamers”, those young people who were minors brought into the country by illegal immigrant parents. There is an estimated 800,000 impacted and some speakers said they were directly affected by DACA, fearful of the consequences if the Trump administration decided to eliminate the program next year.

DACA supporters and dreamers should be encouraged by the President’s recent tweet this week which asked, “Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really! They have been in our country for many years through no fault of their own – brought in by parents at young age.”

This problem has exploded in America’s face because past administrations, both Republican and Democrat led, have refused to  fix the broken immigration system in our country. I believe the current President is tenacious and iron-willed enough not to kick this can down the road and will do his best to solve this problem with the help of Congress. Ah… Congress… let’s not give up on our elected leaders yet. They’re getting used to the new sheriff in town. Talk about a culture shock for Washington insiders dealing with this President.

The Gill Foundation, a national homosexual rights organization, founded by multi-millionaire Tim Gill defines “gender expression” as “ways in which we each manifest masculinity or femininity. It is usually an extension of our ‘gender identity’, our innate sense of being male or female. Each of us expresses a particular gender every day – by the way we style our hair, select our clothing, or even the way we stand. Our appearance, speech, behavior, movement, and other factors signal that we feel – and wish to be understood – as masculine or feminine, or as a man or a woman.

“For some of us, our gender expression may not match our biological sex. That is, while other people see us as being male or female, we may or may not fit their expectations of masculinity or femininity because of the way we look, act, or dress.

“People whose gender expression is not what we might expect represent many different backgrounds – their age, sex, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation has no bearing on their gender expression.”

Gill, by the way, who married his male lover in Massachusetts in 2009, funds Equality Texas.

On the other hand, according to self-identified experts on the subject, gender identity is defined as “an individual’s deeply held sense of being male, female or another gender. This is separate from biological sex.”

NO, this is all nonsense. There are two biological sexes, male and female. God said so. The rest is delusional fantasy compliments of pedophile sexologist Alfred Kinsey who developed the early sexuality scale, from heterosexual to homosexual, first published in 1948. Modern libertines today find it too restrictive and confining and are now defining new fictional sexuality models spreading the theory of sexual fluidity that allows for variation over time.

Ms.  Polanco may not be aware exactly of what’s she’s stepped into but we wonder why the adult members of the Board of Trustees fail to understand that broadening the  school district’s non-discrimination policy from clearly defined immutable characteristics like race, sex, and age, even disability, to now include transitional and “fluid” sexual orientations,  gender “identities” and “expressions” which collide with biological identity at birth is clear evidence of liberal insanity.

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Gen. 1:27)

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.(Ps. 139:13-16)
