Save the Alamo

In May 2017, the San Antonio City Council voted to accept the concepts of the Reimagine the Alamo Master Plan.  Included in this plan is moving the memorial Alamo Cenotaph away from the grounds of the actual battlefield! The Alamo Cenotaph, also known as the Spirit of Sacrifice, is the monument commemorating the Battle of the Alamo, which was fought at the adjacent Alamo Mission. The monument was erected in celebration of the centennial of the battle and bears the names of those known to have fought there on the Texas side.
