Death Camps

Someone recently told me that there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats. There may be an iota of truth to his words, however, when it comes to life and death the two parties are worlds apart. Life is God given and is an epoch of expectations and opportunity. Each one of us is intentionally designed by God to be unique and purposed. Our matchless DNA bears witness to that uniqueness. God’s plan for life is a time of expectation. It is a time to be born and, a time to die, a time to love and a time to…

Local Planned Parenthood Head Lobbies for More Public Funded Abortions

Letter in response to “State tax money used to obscure abortion services” an opinion piece by Jeffrey Hons, President/CEO of Planned Parenthood of South Texas, published in the San Antonio Express News June 6, 2016 by Patrick Von Dohlen Planned Parenthood South Texas President and CEO, Jeffrey Hons, played “dress up” in his article concerning state funding for women’s health services. The simple fact of the matter is he is a disgruntled interested party complaining that other entities and organizations are receiving funding for women’s health and family planning in Texas while his organization has been cut out. Like any…

When Political Correctness Stands in for Morality

Pope Francis arrives just in time to bring the plight of the unborn to light by Ken Allard [Republished from the Washington Times, September 21, 2015] This week’s visit by Pope Francis comes just in time. He is an apostolic missionary courageously reaching out to a once-religious country that now ruthlessly kills its unborn, mercilessly harvesting and selling their body parts. It is somehow fitting that our local witch doctors helpfully enshrine political correctness as a convenient substitute for morality. True Religion is mostly a phrase we use while adorning our butts in ever-widening swatches of denim. Otherwise our most…

National Day of Protest Against Planned Parenthood In San Antonio

The National Day of Protest against Planned Parenthood (PP) was held in over 300 US cities  on Saturday, August 22, 2015. Over 60,000 peacefully protested in 47 states against Planned Parenthood after the release of a series of videos by the Center for Medical Progress showing the nation’s largest abortion franchiser’s active participation in setting up specific procedures at their abortion facilities to dismember innocent unborn victims for the purpose of selling baby body parts.  Graphic images were used to demonstrate what happens to an unborn baby after dismemberment.  I don’t like to look at these signs but I also…

City Council Turning A Blind Eye to Abortion Expansion in San Antonio

I wish I was writing this article to expose something about some important prudential issue like pot holes, speed bumps, ride sharing or salaries for City Council members, but unfortunately it is about the actual taking of human life. Texas HB 2, the omnibus pro-life state legislative bill passed into law in 2013, went into effect in January 2014. The new abortion regulations  limit abortions to the first 20 weeks, requires abortionists to obtain hospital admitting privileges, abortion facilities to meet state ambulatory surgical  center (ASC) standards, as well as requiring abortion providers  to follow the FDA-approved protocols for administering…
