As early voting starts this past Tuesday for the 2018 primary election, the electrifying news in the political arena is the case of Texas Senator Carlos Uresti, Don of the San Antonio-based Uresti Family. On Thursday the jury found Uresti guilty on multiple felony counts. While Uresti’s term extends to 2020, if the  felony charges hold up, he could be facing millions in fines, the loss of his state senate seat, and prison time which could spill into the next century. State Sen. Carlos Uresti touted a “no-risk” investment opportunity to a grieving mother while raking off fees and having sex with her, the woman testified Thursday. Denise Cantu told a U.S. District Court jury that the San Antonio Democrat called Four Winds Logistics the “perfect” deal with a guaranteed return. Uresti’s sales pitches were punctuated, she said, with adult texts and sex in his office while he groomed her for a $900,000 buy-in.
